Chief Science & Innovation Officer (CSIO)
Radicle Science is a healthtech pioneer, named Fast Company “World Changing Idea” for creating the future of proven, precision wellness. Since launching in 2021, Radicle has become the #1 U.S. leader in rigorous clinical evidence generation for wellness, running placebo-controlled trials on more Americans annually than all FDA drug-approval trials combined.
We’re seeking a Chief Science & Innovation Officer (CSIO) who is eager to apply rigorous scientific principles to “outside the box” health tech thinking to lead the company’s long-term strategic scientific vision and drive innovation, trusted health evidence, client value, and meaningful real-world health impact.

ROLE OVERVIEW
NOTE: This is NOT your typical science leadership role….this is Radicle Science and “in the box” thinkers need not apply!
The CSIO will be responsible for ensuring integration across, and evolution of, our protocol design, outcome measures, trial execution, analysis, and reporting.
The CSIO will also be a key partner in expanding Radicle’s platform to serve innovation, formulation, small batch manufacturing, and IP goals for Radicle Science clients.
To ensure our scientific strategy is aligned throughout our organization, the CSIO will collaborate with our technology, data, marketing, sales, and customer success teams.
This leader will also serve as a visible spokesperson for Radicle Science, helping build trust with clients, investors, partners, and the broader health ecosystem.
This is a rare opportunity for a senior scientific leader to move beyond traditional research or product development silos and help build the scientific innovation backbone that transforms how wellness solutions are developed, validated, protected, and scaled.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Scientific Strategy
- Ensure integration across, and evolution of, our protocol design, outcome measures, trial execution, analysis, and interpretation
- Coordinate with our internal and external Principal Investigators, as well as our academic collaborators
- Ensure our evidence generation meets the highest standards of rigor while pragmatically serving client goals, consumer needs, and regulatory expectations
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
This role provides strategic executive leadership to two established senior leaders, each of whom will continue to lead their teams and each of whom will continue to be responsible for day-to-day activities:
1. SVP of Scientific Affairs who oversees client-facing sales support, protocol design, client report generation, peer-reviewed publications, external scientific communication, and industry-facing thought leadership.
2. VP of Research Operations who oversees trial execution, compliance, and operational excellence
- Cross-functional collaboration with our technology, data, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to ensure our scientific strategy is aligned throughout the company
Innovation Support
- Provide clients with scientific guidance on formulation strategy & feasibility
- Support clients by collaborating with formulators and contract manufacturers to prepare their products for trial
- Support clients with their IP/patent strategy related to their formulas and trial data
Spokesperson
- Serve (along with our Scientific Affairs team) as a Radicle scientific representative with industry, investors, partners, and the broader health ecosystem
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- PhD or equivalent in a life science field
- 10+ years experience conducting or sponsoring clinical trials on non-prescription/non-pharmaceutical health interventions
- 10+ years experience working for food, beverage, or supplement companies
- 5+ years experience working with formulators and contract manufacturers
- Strong understanding of biostatistics
- Experience with intellectual property and patent strategy
- Experience serving as Principal Investigator on clinical trials
- Experience authoring peer-reviewed publications
- Experience managing senior leaders and multidisciplinary teams
- U.S based, willing to travel ~8x/year travel for team gatherings, conferences, and partner meetings
- Native, or near-native/mastery proficiency in English

Sales Director
Radicle Science is a fast-growing healthtech pioneer on a mission to make proven, precision wellness accessible for all. We are seeking a high-performing, results-driven Sales Director to acquire new customers while deepening relationships with existing accounts to expand collaboration and long-term business value.
You’ll also help communicate and position how Radicle serves as an innovation and IP partner—empowering companies to develop proven, precision wellness products at unprecedented speed, scale, and cost.
Your core customers will be mid to large size companies in the food, beverage, supplement, and pet industries who 1) sell premium ingredients B2B or 2) sell a premium branded product B2C.

WORKING STYLE & LOGISTICS
Remote (must be willing to work Pacific hours with Radicle team, take occasional calls that align with European or Asian client timezones), travel to conferences (primarily in the US but occasionally internationally) 4-6x a year, and travel to CA 2x a year for in-person team gatherings.
WHAT YOU’LL DO: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Achieve annual sales targets while monitoring performance and taking corrective action when necessary.
- Develop and retain customers – serve as primary contact for customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction through the sales cycle.
- Build annual customer-level forecasts and projections.
- Manage monthly forecasting.
- Negotiate, prepare, and execute tailored presentations, proposals, pricing, and terms to optimize commercial results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Research Operations, Tech, and Customer Success to provide feedback on offerings, to craft solutions for clients, and to support long term client satisfaction.
- Maintain a strong understanding of category, segment, customer, and competitive landscapes; share insights and analysis with the team.
- Manage individual CRM to maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions.
- Travel to shows, client meetings, and other events as necessary (25-40% travel).
WHAT YOU’LL BRING: KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, BD, or client relationship management selling: 1) Clinically proven ingredients 2) Formulation and/or manufacturing services
- Into the following 1) Food and Beverage 2) Supplements 3) Pet
- Experience operating in a fast paced, rapidly evolving company environment
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong skills in prospecting, lead generation, and pipeline management.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and written and oral communication skills.
- Strong in-person interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain long term relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a data driven approach to decision making.
- Highly proficient in CRM (Hubspot and/or Salesforce) and MS Office/Google Suite; experience with reporting and forecasting.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
